Icons & buttons

The archive's display case: 88×31 buttons, blinkies and material to link up with us. Old-web tradition: if you like a page, you take its button and put it on yours. Everything here is made with pure HTML and CSS — no images, no SVG — so "taking it" means copying four lines.

were you looking for icons for your DESKTOP (windows/mac/linux)? that's in the new customization room, with a downloadable pack and guides. this room is for your website.

The official 88×31 buttons

Take the button (how to link to us)

Copy this onto your site and adjust the URL once the archive has its final address on Neocities:

<a href="https://YOUR-URL-HERE" style="width:88px;height:31px;
display:inline-flex;align-items:center;justify-content:center;
font:9px/1.15 'Courier New',monospace;text-align:center;
text-decoration:none;border:2px outset #fff;
background:#a8d8f0;color:#1c2a33">DREAMCORE<br>ARCHIVE</a>

Text blinkies

For forum signatures and bios. The blinking is optional but historic:

✿ you've been here before ✿ don't close the door on your way out ☁ dreaming since 2026 ☁ best viewed at 3pm the counter is counting you

<span style="display:inline-block;padding:1px 10px;
font:11px 'Courier New',monospace;border:1px solid #4a5a64;
background:#ffd6e8;color:#4a3040">✿ you've been here before ✿</span>

The favicon

2002 websites had a 16×16 favicon made pixel by pixel. This one now has its own: Iris's eye (look at the browser tab). Got a better idea? Proposals (a monolith, a cloud, a door) to the board.

old-web etiquette: buttons go in the footer, they link for real (no hollow decoration), and if you remove someone's link you let them know. the webring is a pact.
